Today, Cakes for Causes, launched its newest program called ‘You’ve Been Caked! For Your Kindness’. Once a month we will surprise an individual within our community with a cake to thank them for their kindness, dedication, and effort that they give towards a non-profit organization.
May’s recipient, and first ever, was awarded to Ellen Jimenez who is chair of the Military Affairs Committee (MAC) through the Tucson Chamber of Commerce. Ellen works a full time job, has a family, and in her ‘spare’ time she chairs the committee and helps our community support and say ‘Thank You’ to our brave men and women of our military. She works tirelessly and has such a beautiful spirit. Whenever you see pictures of a civilian event with the military nine times out of ten, you will see Ellen’s smiling face in those pictures. Thank you Ellen for all that you do for our military community! YOU ROCK!
