Operation Homefront’s Baby Shower June 2, 2012

What a busy weekend it was for us this past weekend!  Operation Baby Brigade hosted by Operation Homefront of Arizona occurred on Saturday June 2, 2012.  Operation Homefront requested 100 cupcakes and a small centerpiece cake for their baby shower for military moms-t0-be.  Our bakers were very excited and turned on their mixers and ovens and hopped to it!

Our baker Jess suggested that we also include 100 baby feet shaped cookies for the moms to take home as a party gift.   Jess baked all 100 cookies and with Rita’s help they were decorated with pink and blue royal icing.  They turned out SO cute!

Our baker Liz hopped up to make the centerpiece cake and it turned out adorable with pink and blue baby feet and multiple colored buttercream lines, made with a tip #2.  That is some very patient and high end piping work!  Liz also included a surprise inside the cake by making the cake pink and blue!

Our bakers Christy and Martha baked the 100 cupcakes and baker Rene’ iced them with pink and blue swirls with the good ol’ tip 1M.

Rene’ and Terrill made the delivery.  The room was decorated so nicely!  The ladies were SO grateful and LOVED everything!  The baby feet cookies were a giant hit and were included at each place setting.  We were so honored to be able to do this for the military moms!

As always we had a wonderful and fun time working together!  It is truly amazing how much we accomplish together!  And how much we help our community.  Our group really warms my heart on a daily basis!  Thank you Christy, Martha, Liz, Jess, Rita, Jeanne, and Terrill!  YOU ROCK!
