We have a ‘Diamond Team’ here at Cakes for Causes and this team consists of five of our bakers, Jess Bemiss, Martha Ortiz, Christy Palmer, Tamara Bemiss, and Rene’ Luedeman. These ladies are ready to go on a last minute’s notice to provide a special birthday cake for a chronic, critically ill child who will be spending his/her birthday in the hospital at Diamond Children’s Medical Center. We are honored to be able to do this to bring celebration and joy to these little ones. Friday, May 18, 2012 was Larry’s 8th birthday and it was Martha’s turn in the rotation and she jumped right in! Larry wanted a chocolate cake and he loves Star Wars so Martha put her head to the task and created this wonderful cake for Larry! Happy Birthday Larry! Thank you Martha! You are indeed a ‘Diamond’!
